Description:
Introduce yourself to adventure travel in the spectacular scenery of northern New England, as you broaden your horizons with challenging new activities. Canoe through the quiet waterways of New Hampshire, push your limits and discover new skills while rock climbing and sea kayak among the beautiful islands and channels of coastal Maine. Hike along the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway home to beavers, moose, and black bear. Rope in and take the challenge of climbing forty feet up a tree, then ride the zip line 200 yards through the treetops towards the lake. You will learn to live comfortably in the outdoors as you contribute to the success of your group. Activities such as canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing will challenge you as an individual and test your teamwork skills within your group. Spend your nights under the stars in campgrounds where you will build a closer relationship with nature and those around you. The outdoor skills you learn through minimum-impact camping and backcountry cooking are the keys to unlocking the exciting world of outdoor adventure. For students interested in spending 6 weeks with Windsor Mountain, this could be a great extension of the 1st session offered at the residential summer camp program.
